Leachate Lift Station

Sealed Bids for the construction of a leachate lift station will be received by Montmorency-Oscoda-

Alpena Solid Waste Management Authority, at the office of the Montmorency-Oscoda-Alpena Landfill,

until 11 a.m. local time on Friday April 19, 2019 at which time the Bids received will be publicly opened

and read.  The Project consists of constructing a lift station and associated piping and demolition of

existing equipment.

Bids will be received for a single prime Contract.  Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, with

additive alternate bid items as indicated in the Bid Form.

The Issuing Office for the Bidding Documents is Gosling Czubak Engineering Sciences, Inc., 1280 Business

Park Drive, Traverse City, MI 49686, 231-946-9191, Adam Segerlind, P.E.  Prospective Bidders may examine the Bidding Documents at the

Issuing Office on Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., and may obtain

copies of the Bidding Documents from the Issuing Office as described below.

Bidding Documents also may be examined at Builders Exchange of Northwest Michigan, 1373 Barlow

Street, Traverse City, MI 49686; and the office of the Montmorency-Oscoda-Alpena Solid Waste

Management Authority, 6751 Landfill Road, Atlanta, MI 49709; (989) 785-6500, on Mondays through

Fridays between the hours of 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m

Bidding Documents may be ordered online by contacting the Issuing Office at the email address above.

Following registration, complete sets of Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the Issuing

Office’s website as “zipped” portable document format (PDF) files. Alternatively, printed Bidding

Documents may be obtained from the Issuing Office either via in-person pick-up or via mail, upon

Issuing Office’s receipt of payment for the Bidding Documents. The non-refundable cost of printed

Bidding Documents is $25.00 per set, payable to “Gosling Czubak Engineering Sciences”, plus a nonrefundable

shipping charge. Upon Issuing Office’s receipt of payment, printed Bidding Documents will

be sent via the prospective Bidder’s delivery method of choice; the shipping charge will depend on the

shipping method chosen. The date that the Bidding Documents are transmitted by the Issuing Office will

be considered the Bidder’s date of receipt of the Bidding Documents.  Partial sets of the Bidding

Documents will not be available from the Issuing Office.

A pre-bid conference will be held at 10 a.m. local time on Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at the Montmorency-

Oscoda-Alpena Landfill, 6751 Landfill Road, Atlanta, MI 49709. 

Attendance at the pre-bid conference is  mandatory.

Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders.
